Ron Murphy
March 3, 1948 - January 12, 2008
I was sad to hear of the passing of Ron Murphy. Ron was an instrumental figure in Detroit music history. He has been mastering and cutting techno records pretty much since the music was a genre. The Detroit Techno "sound" can almost always be followed by the NSC logo on the runout groove. You can thank him for your low end, you can thank him kick drum, and you can thank him for your dance floor. Ron is a legend in one of the most musically rich cities in the world. He will be dearly missed by many, but he will never be forgot. Thank you Ron.
